SHOPPING IN WAIKIKI
There are quite a few stores to shop at within Waikiki, mostly on Kalakaua Ave and the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Centre.

ALA MOANA SHOPPING CENTREAla Moana Center is world’s largest open-air shopping center with over 350 stores and more than 160 dining options. This is the place to come if you want to shop! We love Ala Moana, you could spend all day there if you wanted to, wandering around the stores, having lunch at one of the many restaurants and taking in the live entertainment. Surprisingly, Ala Moana doesn't have late night shopping so we recommend shopping in the early afternoon and then staying for dinner. Ala Moana Center features one of the best collections of luxury brands inthe world including Bulgari, Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Harry Winston, Hermès, LOUIS VUITTON, Prada, and TIFFANY & CO but is also home to all of the well known American national brands including Abercrombie & Fitch, Banana Republic and Coach, Old Navy, the GAP, Victoria's Secret, Macy's, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Target. Located 5 minutes from Waikiki by car or trolley and about 25 minutes if you're walking. Its a really nice walk to the Centre so we recommend walling there and then getting a Taxi or Uber back with all those shopping bags. |
WAIKELE OUTLETSIf you're planning a holiday in Hawaii, you have no doubt heard about the great shopping to be had and Waikele Premium Outlets does not disappoint. Home to more than 50 designer and brand name outlets such as Coach, Ralph Lauren, Kate Spade, Levi's, Adidas, Asics, Calvin Klein, Converse and Tommy Hilfiger. On the other side of the road to the actual outlet, there is a GAP outlet and Old Navy (you actually leave the outlet centre and walk across the road). Also has a maccas and a starbucks across the road. Not much else food wise here. Shopping is great, very cheap – Worth the trip if you are into shopping. You can sign up for their VIP program to receive special deals and insider discounts. The Waikele outlets are located about 40 mins from Waikiki past the airport, you can take a shuttle but would recommend hiring a car. |
SHOPPING ACROSS OAHU
- Aloha Stadium Swap Meet – Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday. This is a massive market for Hawaiian gifts, t-shirts, sarongs, key rings, food etc. Anything you could want as souvenirs. Worth the trip if you are looking for for T-shirts and ‘Hawaiian’ gifts as there aren’t that many places left in Waikiki to buy these types of souvenirs. – Will need a car and we recommend you do this on the way to the outlets.
- Pearl Ridge shopping centre – smaller shopping centre with a Macy’s and lots of restaurants, not worth the trip unless there is something specific you want or if Macy’s has a sale on (we got Surf brand T-shirts here for $7 – Didn’t see them at Ala Moana or Waikiki)
- Farmer Markets – There is the Kapiolani Community Farmers Market on a Saturday near Diamond Head, worth doing for a look if you enjoy local food and crafts. There is often a farmers market on Lewers St and on the rooftop of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping centre.
